Benedict Cumberbatch could be set to return for another series of Sherlock.
According Sue Vertue, who produced the BBC show, the detective drama is likely to return.
She told Deadline: “We love that show and there is a future for it. One day. Maybe. If everyone wants to do it.
“I’ve still got the set in storage somewhere, which is probably rotten, to be honest with you. It’s just getting everybody aligned, it’s getting the actors to want to do it.”
The show, which also starred Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington, ran as a four part series from 2010-2017.

In all there were 13 episodes of the series including a special.
Vertue’s comments come after Sherlock co-creator and star Mark Gatiss previously raised hopes for a film earlier this year. “We’d like to make a film but trying to get everyone together is very difficult,” he said at the time.
Meanwhile, Cumberbatch and FKA Twigs were recently announced for the Letters Live fundraiser at KOKO in London.
The BAFTA, Olivier and EMMY award-winning actor will be supporting the KOKO Foundation, the registered charity of the London iconic venue’s efforts to help ensure that the capital is able to become a greener and more sustainable city.
Speaking about his role in a press release, Cumberbatch said: “I am honoured to be a KOKO Foundation Ambassador with a special focus on the environment. It’s been so inspiring to witness first-hand, the amazing impact that the Foundation has quietly had over the past few years, making real and lasting change in Camden.”
He continued: “I’m excited, inspired and committed to help bring awareness to the special work being done and continue to help improve the local area and scale the foundations work around the country, and the world.”
To celebrate the partnership, the KOKO Foundation has teamed up with Letters Live to host a special fundraising edition titled: ‘A Night In The Theatre’. The event will take place on November 7 and will see musicians and artists read out historical or personal letters in the form of unique readings and musical performances.
