Yahya Abdul-Mateen II takes on the lead role in Netflix’s adaptation of Man On Fire.
Based on the novel by A.J. Quinnell, the action thriller series follows ex special forces mercenary John Creasey who is plagued by intense PTSD in his new life. Before he can start anew though, he finds himself back in the fire in need of revenge.
Other cast members in the series include Billie Boullet, Scoot McNairy, Alice Braga, Bobby Cannavale and Paul Ben-Victor.
This is the third adaptation of the Man On Fire novel, after the 1987 film starring Scott Glenn and the 2004 film led by Denzel Washington.
All seven episodes of Man On Fire were released April 30, 2026 on Netflix.
