Watch System Of A Down lead Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in chant of “pull Oasis out of your ass”

System Of A Down hit out at Oasis during their recent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium concert, leading the crowd in a chant of “pull Oasis out of your ass”.

Speaking on stage during their show with Queens Of The Stone Age at the venue on Monday night (July 13), guitarist Daron Malakian introduced the track ‘Needles’ by telling the crowd: “We have a song about a tapeworm. Just for fun today, I’m going to name the tapeworm ‘Oasis’”. He then encouraged the audience to chant: “Puuull Oasis out of your ass.”

It comes after a long running feud which saw Noel Gallagher tell US radio in the early ‘00s around the time of the release of the band’s 2001 album ‘Toxicity’, of his relief after first hearing SOAD. “I’m actually alive to hear the shittiest band of all time,” he said at time.

The Armenian-American metal band have since gone on to enjoy huge success and are currently selling out stadiums across Europe.

When Oasis were on their reunion tour in the US last year, System Of A Down also hit out at the band during one of their own shows at the Soldier Field in Chicago last September.

Upon arriving in Chicago at the time, Malakian took to Instagram to share a photo of himself outside of the venue alongside a sign which he digitally altered to read, “Fuck Oasis”, captioning the post, “Wow!!! I kept ending up at the right place at the right time in Chicago!!!!!”.

Reviewing SOAD’s concert earlier this week, NME awarded the show five stars and said:  “Tonight is similar to Oasis only in that every single person in this place is going totally ape-shit from start to finish, but System Of A Down ultimately defy and redefine what stadium rock is and can be. The circle pits don’t relent throughout, but we know what we’ve been waiting for.

“’I’m sure you’ve seen this part of the show before on Instagram or bullshitgram,’ says Malakian before another viral-worthy series of human whirlpools kick off for ‘Toxicity’ into closer ‘Sugar’. ‘Do you feel the moment?’ he yells. That’s what it’s about. And that you were lucky enough to be alive to see SOAD smash a stadium. Shove that up your ass.”

Elsewhere on the night, Queens Of The Stone Age opened the show with the likes of Sick, Sick, Sick’, ‘My God Is The Sun’ and ‘Little Sister’.

NME said of their performance: “The crowds spiral for the brutal one-two-three punch closing of ‘Go With The Flow’, ‘No One Knows’ and ‘A Song For The Dead’ as an on-fire [Josh] Homme calls upon London to ‘make yourself a night you’ll never remember.’ We oblige.”

Meanwhile, Phil Collins has also opened up about potentially meeting Oasis at the upcoming Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2026 ceremony after Noel was outspoken about Collins during his younger days, when he described him as “the antichrist of music”.
