The Muppet Show is back with a brand new special on Disney+, but what special guests appear on the show? Find out below.
The one-off show is a revival of the beloved puppet-based comedy show created by Jim Henson that originally ran from 1976 until 1981.
A 33-minute special, it debuted on Disney+ on February 4 and strives to recreate the madcap, anarchic tone of the original Muppets concept, with sketches that pastiche Bridgerton running alongside skits from ‘backstage’ at the fictional show as the Muppets try to stop the show falling apart.

As it stands, it is a standalone special, but Disney has indicated that if it proves to be successful, it will likely lead to a full revival of the series.
Elsewhere, it has been reported that a Miss Piggy movie is in the works, with Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and Broadway sensation Cole Escola all thought to be involved.
Every special guest in The Muppet Show
The main guest for this special is Sabrina Carpenter, who opens the show with a performance of her 2025 hit ‘Manchild’ alongside a troupe of dancing Muppet chickens.
She recurs throughout the episode, including in a backstage skit alongside Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy as they make jokes about Carpenter stealing Piggy’s look. She later plays a duet with Kermit of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ ‘Islands In The Stream’ that Miss Piggy sabotages.
Also included is Seth Rogen, who is told by Fozzie backstage that he has been cut from the show, despite him being an executive producer.
Maya Rudolph also appears as an audience member who is injured when Beaker’s eyes explode out of his head and become jammed in her mouth. She later becomes the centre of a spoof breaking news report in which she is initially assumed to be dead.
All of the Muppets then bring the show to a close in a communal version of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’.
It comes after Carpenter arrested Miss Piggy during the final night of her ‘Short N’ Sweet’ tour back in November. “You’re so funny, Miss Piggy, wow,” Carpenter said. “You’re the only celebrity I get nervous to be around. I’m getting really flustered … We’ve arrested so many beautiful individuals and I feel like tonight is your night.”
